here you can see the old house has been cleared away totally and the extent of the newly levelled building site is revealed.you can just make out the neighbours' property alongside and the banana and palm jungle wasteland beyond.
it's not a very large site, granted, but it will provide the DAYAWATHI family with a beautiful new home and a fresh beginning to life.
In another picture you can see the various generations of wonderful women who form the backbone of this family unit. this is my favourite picture as it shows they have proudly laid out a pristine table with some simple food to offer the workers.
the other pictures show how the walls have progressed in height and the openings for the windows and doors have been prepared while the woodwork is being prepared off-site [along with roof tiles etc which are made especially for the next stages]
